Legal Scholarship 2022 Winner Announced

Willinger, Willinger & Bucci, P.C. is proud to recognize the first recipient of its annual legal
scholarship, Kennedy Baker of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Ms. Baker is uniquely qualified for this
scholarship as her accomplishments reflect many of the attributes so cherished by Willinger,
Willinger & Bucci, P.C.. As with our law firm, Kennedy strives to achieve the very best for
herself and for others. She is a young but proven leader, both in her philanthropic endeavors
and in her academic accomplishments.

Kennedy’s interest in the field of law started at an early age. She was the lead attorney in her
high school’s Mock Trial Team for two years, distinguishing herself by her selection as the “Best
Lawyer”. She was awarded a scholarship from the Butler County Bar Association and the
Fiehrer and Fritsch Law Firm. Kennedy also excelled in high school, achieving placement in the
National Honor Society and the Class Council.

Kennedy did not limit herself to academic success. She also believes in giving back to her
community, as is reflected in her mentoring other youth for a three-year period through the
Butler County’s Big Brother Big Sister mentorship program. Kennedy was also elected to the
board of directors of that organization, becoming the youngest individual to have served in that
position. Kennedy also established the “Rise and Shine Fundraiser”, to raise money for a
scholarship fund for music programs in her high school.

Kennedy currently attends the University of Georgia and is an executive board member of the
university’s Black Affairs Council’s Freshman Board. As a member of that board, Kennedy
interacts with political organizations on the university’s campus and with elected officials from
the Athens-Clarke County area in an effort to ensure that students on the campus fully
understand their voting rights.

Willinger, Willinger & Bucci, P.C. commends Ms. Baker for her accomplishments, congratulates
her on receiving the law firm’s scholarship and wishes her future success in her academic and
post-academic endeavors.
